Application Notes:

sulfur oxide

is a major atmospheric pollutant, predominantly sulfur dioxide (SO2) with some sulfur trioxide (SO3), primarily emitted from stationary combustion sources (furnaces and boilers). Sulfur oxides are formed whenever fuels containing sulfur are burned. SO2 is also present in the air from natural land and marine fermentation processes.
