straight mineral oil

is a petroleum oil containing no additives. Straight mineral oils include such diverse products as low-cost once-through lubricants (see once-through lubrication) and thoroughly refined white oils. Straight mineral oils are used in certain aviation piston engines, although a pour depressant may be added (see pour point). Most high-quality lubricants, however, contain additives.
