evaluated, approved, and listed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture
(USDA) for use in federally inspected meat and poultry operations. USDA H-1
lubricants are approved for equipment where there may be incidental exposure
to edible product. USDA H-2 lubricants are approved for equipment where
there is no possibility of the lubricated part or lubricant contacting
edible product (e.g., a closed and sealed gear box).
