is a non-conductor of electricity, such as
electrical insulating oil for
transformers, load tap changers (LTC), oil filled circuit breakers (OCB),
reactors, switches, voltage regulators and the like. These petroleum based
insulating oils are primarily a naphthenic
based oil. Degradation of these fluids result in the formation of
Coking and
Filming compounds.
