butyl rubber (IIR)


is a synthetic rubber, produced by copolymerization of isobutylene with isoprene or butadiene. It is resistant to weather and heat, has low air-permeability and low resiliency; used in the manufacture of cable insulation, tubeless tire innerliners and other applications requiring good weather resistance and air retention.
